It's focused on empowerment, cross-pollination, and identifying stakeholders for causes around sustainability and resiliency for Ventura County. if you've already been to GD before, you know it's a good time that just happens to be next level important! bring a friend!

Monday, August 19th 5:30-7:30pm

Background for tonight's presentation:

Matilija Dam no longer provides water storage or flood control benefits, and poses an increasing risk and liability to downstream communities on the Ventura River. The Dam Ecosystem Restoration Project is a watershed-scale program that includes major improvements to downstream infrastructure, including bridges, levees, and water supply. Although these improvements are designed to accommodate the increased sediment flows from dam removal, the impacts of the Thomas Fire and recent storms highlight the deficiencies in the existing infrastructure. Studies are underway to develop final plans, and funding has been secured for the first major project component, replacement of Santa Ana Bridge in Oak View.
